General Information / Tips |
|
This chapter contains general information that will be useful throughout
the book. It contains sections on making the rings that hold the slide
onto the neckerchief, what glues to use on which materials, and where to
get free materials.
Making crafts with children is very rewarding, but it can also be very trying on adults. Frequently, if you forget one tool or part, the whole project is a disaster. To make the experience as successful and painless as possible follow these steps:
- Read over the instructions
- Make a prototype so that you are intimately familiar with the materials and techniques
- Make a list of all the materials and tools you need for the project - check it at least twice
- Get the materials and tools together well before the meeting - check at least twice. Don't forget to include your prototype and a copy of the instructions in case any last minute questions come up.
Lists can be lifesavers!
Behind every successful undertaking is a list!
