Have you ever seen a stagnant pond? It's pretty nasty isn't it? There is an unpleasant odor and it just looks like you should steer clear of it. That's because the water isn't going anywhere - it's just sitting there.

On the other hand, if you have a pond that is being fed by a stream there is all kinds of life around and in the pond. It is very pleasant to be around and to see. That's because the water is moving in the pond. Water is flowing into the pond from a stream and is flowing out of the pond into another stream.

That's kind of like our lives are. If we are sitting still not doing anything we stagnate. If we are moving and doing things, then we are like the pond with the flowing streams.

If you are stagnant, there's not much that God can do with you. But if you are active and doing things, God will make the opportunities available to you. He will help guide you to do His will.

But you've got to be moving - doing something. It may not be exactly what God has in mind for you, but if you are moving and doing something, then He can easily adjust the direction that you are moving.

So, get out there and start doing something that shows that you love other people, after all that is what God want's us to do.

"Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul and love your neighbor as yourself." What better way to show our love for God than showing our love for our neighbor.
